The Mwangi Business Scholarship
Irish Aid co-sponsors an African business woman each year to pursue a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School through the Mwangi Business Scholarship. The scholarship was set up in 2013 to commemorate the late Mbugua Mwangi, the son of the former Ambassador of Kenya to Ireland, Ms Catherine Mwangi, who was murdered in the Westgate attack in Nairobi.
All applicants who are selected to go forward to second stage will be required to sit an IELTS exam, unless they are already in possession of an IELTS certificate that is less than 12 months old at the time of application which shows the applicant has achieved the necessary score for the course they intend to apply to. Early preparation for the IELTS exam is strongly advised, even for native English speakers.
